Hope Sinks

I love the movie Hope Floats. I wrote on April 1st with renewed hope...but then that hope sank. There's always a million reasons...

I have been getting to the fitness center maybe once a week. I met with the personal trainer for an hour last Friday. My toe is still in it.

I asked the trainer when she made the decision to lose weight was the "switch flipped" with no turning back. She said that it was that way. I have a faulty switch. Something tripped it. I need to figure out how to switch it back on and keep it on.

I'll keep plugging away.

  1. Hi Jodie - It's so good to hear from you! I've definitely missed you and wondered if you were in struggle mode. A lot of us have been, but there has also been some movement for some folks. Just the fact that you posted is a beginning...stick around! We need you!

  3. Keep your eye on the goal and know that your switch can be flipped in the right direction, but that doesn't make the journey easy all the time. I've had a few set backs and a week where my heart wasn't in it, but your determination must stay strong. Refuse to give up on yourself.

  4. I described mine the same way.
I can't put it any other way than for the longest time, I thought what was black was white and what was white was black.
    I KNEW UNDERSTOOD GOT IT...
that being this unhealthy would kill me, that I was cheating myself and my family, that I was maybe living at 50 percent capacity.
Then, that i wasn't going to do that ANYMORE.
Once you know that, there is no choice.
    remove choice.
    flip.
    I have tonights blog post.

  6. Hi Jody :) I just stumbled across your blog. I can definately relate to your most recent struggle. I just wrote a post on my blog that hopefully can help you flip your switch or at least provide a little encouragement.
